Mayor of Medan, Drs. H.T. Dzulmi Eldin S, M.Si welcomed and appreciated the 4th National Conference and the 8th National Conference of the Association of Postgraduate Programs at the Muhammadiyah Aisyiah College which will be held at UMSU, 30 November – 3 December. This appreciation was conveyed by the Mayor when he received the audience of the UMSU Chancellor, Dr. Agussani, MAP at his official residence on Thursday (8/11) afternoon.
Mayor expects a successful and smooth event so that it can contribute to the advancement of education, including development in the city of Medan. I welcome and fully support the holding of the National Seminar and Association of Post-Graduate Special Muhammadiyah Universities, I consider this activity to be very positive and will later produce useful decisions for the advancement of the world of education, “said the Mayor. Then the Mayor invites all academics to support development in the city of Medan.
The Mayor said, Pemko Medan currently needs support and contributions from all for the progress of the capital of North Sumatra Province. He said, no matter how small the contribution given was very meaningful to make the city of Medan better in the future. Previously, the Chancellor of UMSU, Dr. Agussani, MAP accompanied by Deputy Chancellor II, Akrim SPdi, MPd, Secretary of UMSU, Gunawan SPdi MTH, and Postgraduate Director Dr Syaiful explained, reported plans to hold the National Seminar and Conference with the theme, Postgraduate Challenges in the Era of Industrial Revolution 4.0. and Chancellor of UMSU.
In addition, they also requested the Mayor’s support so that the event would be a success. We also hope that the Mayor will attend and open a seminar, “he said, adding that the event would be attended by around 200 participants from across Indonesia.
In a meeting with the Mayor, Agussani also revealed that the entire academic community of UMSU fully supports the Mayor’s development program to realize our Medan House. We (UMSU) are ready to provide support in the form of contributions of ideas and concepts if needed, “said Agussani. Then Agussani did not forget to express his gratitude for the city arrangement which was being intensively carried out by the Mayor to make Medan City better in the future, including the arrangement carried out around the UMSU Campus in Jalan Mukhtar Basri.
He said, the condition around UMSU at this time was far more beautiful and organized. Whereas the Head of Public Relations of UMSU Ribut Priadi presented the Mayor’s proposal so that the tagline Medan Rumah We could go campus. The goal is so that students at every college know what is the construction program of Pemko Medan so that they can support it. Regarding the support given by UMSU to Pemko Medan in the context of the development and progress of the city, the Mayor also expressed his gratitude. He hoped that the support would continue to be provided so that the development carried out went as expected.
